As much as I would like to use the EBI manifold, the price is more than I would like to spend. I think I'd like to fabricate my own, it would be easy enough; it would allow me to locate the turbo along the manifold where I would like it.
I like the idea of using the pipe elbows, sched. 40 would be thick enough to route the heat properly without warpage. The problem is that I have been searching the forums and having zero luck finding the schematic drawing(s) that were posted previously. If anyone could post those drawings again.
A couple of questions for those that already fabricated one. Was the welding done with the manifold clamped to the bench and if so, was there enough warpage to mandate post weld maching? Roughly what was the machining cost? Lastly, what flange thickness was the result?
