Custom bending hoses ?

Came across this video on how to use steam to custom bend hoses - anyone tried anything like this for some of the NLA hoses ?



Reason I went searching is I'm about to tear into the power steering which is leaking harder than the Titanic post iceberg and the low pressure hoses are unobtanium - I'd ideally like to do everything at once when I'm having to suffer through the mess of draining the system to do the high pressure hose.

I have bent hoses by heating them in boiling water with some success.
Steamer looks like a great option.
The bending springs would help for sure. The hose will want to flatten in the curves if you don't have something in it to keep it open

If you're bending more complex shapes (S bends etc) you probably want to make a simple jig to hold the bends.
