Despite the sweltering heat in the desert the June meeting brought out a huge crowd with many new members showing up for the 1st time.
First off a huge thank you to Kevin (Tools R Us) for leading the club for many years. Kevin's dedication and commitment over the years has show a nice increase in membership and participation. His expertise in land cruisers, fabrication and willingness to help out anyone at anytime is a testimony to the type of people this club attracts. Thanks Kevin for all you do !!!!!
Inkpot gave us a TRAL update as CSC has a strong presences supporting TRAL. Mark (CFish) of http://expeditioneers.com did the off road presentation explaining the company he is involved with called Expeditioneers. Check out the website for the latest in equipment.
As the club continues to gain popularity with some new structure (hate to use this word) in casual club type atmosphere, future meetings are going to include some type of demonstration, TRAL updates, introductions and viewing of new member vehicles along with the Run of the month..
For the Run of the Month, the next 3 months are spoken for:
July - Rudster (Mark)
August - Chuy
September - ManuelSV
Ride location and dates to be determined.
As far as the number and types of trucks present at the meeting I came up with this:
40 Series - 2
60 series - 2
62 series - 1
80 series - 22
100 - series - 2
LX 470 - 1
FJC - 5
Tacoma xcab - 1
Tacoma - Reg cab - 1
