CS017R A to B

I've got CS017RA's currently on my BJ70 in the rear and I don't like the added height in the back.

Would you:

A) Remove a leaf (if so, which one?)
B) De-arch them
C) Sell them and buy B's
D) Raise the front (if so, how?)

Those emu springs?

I have the dakar ones in my 70, same deal, rear is higher than front, not too bad on the one side, but the side with the + spring is a good inch taller out back. so it sits pretty crooked.

that whole business of making the rear springs different seems kinda dumb to me...kinda turns cruiser lean into a self fulfilling prophecy...

I was going to get the taller one de-arched, but I think my 70's days are numbered so I'll just live with it.

Hi All:

It is built into the design of OME suspensions that the rear of the vehicle will sit higher than the front when unloaded. The idea here is that when the cargo area of the truck is loaded-down for a two week bush trip now the vehicle will sit level, and the suspension won't be bottoming-out.

The idea behind the "A" and "B" rear leaf springs is that one can switch them side to side to help level the vehicle (the "A" springs have a slightly taller arch.)

If you don't like the rear sitting so high remove a couple of leaves from the rear springs and the arch will settle down.

A springs have 20mm more arch, and are quite a bit taller than the Bs when it comes down to it.

Get some Bs or pack a massive load into your 70 and then go fourwheeling for the day.

FWIW, my 70 sits level with the two A springs.

Looking at pictures of SOA trucks, mine sits about the same height in the back (or within an inch or so)! OME just needs a matching front spring
