So I picked up a pair of axles for this thing.

A ford 9 inch with 5.13s and a minispool
and a d44 with 5.13s and a full spool.

I also got a cruiser project from a guy bailing out of it. I am going to use it as a base to build on.
The rear is mostly gone behind the doors. I figure a bitchen cage and rear clip will fix that.
It also has a sbc 350 and a th350 mated to a cruiser 3peed case. It also came with a nice fuel cell and other useful parts.
Ill have to get some pics when its light out.

Here is the new rig to molest.

Only toyota on it now is the hood and grille.

got it out for sum sun. Gettin closer, steering and panels.

No more rockwelss either. Sittin on 60s front and rear. No bigger than my toy. 38s VS 44s.

Why the switch from rockwells?

I went rockwells first cuz of cost. I have lots of rockwell stuff and got a deal on two steers and a set of wheels too. I already had a detroit locker for the rocks too.

1 Rocks are wide, I wanted to keep it kinda normal size for the tight trails around here.

2 Rocks are heavy, I figured 60s are gonna shave some weight.

3 Rocks dont turn sharp, I had two steer axles to make up for the sloppy turn radius.

4 Two steers add more crap for rear steer.

5 Rockwell buggies dont sell very well or for very much.

I just couldnt afford to build a pair of 60s to replace them.

Two rock steers and a detroit and some wheels would only sell for 2500-3000 and that was not enough to find 60s and build them at the time.

But I did some sweet trading and got a few killer deals by being patient and now have a pair of 35 spline 60s under it.

Now the rig is narrower, lighter, more nimble, easier to sell, etc.

still have a ton to do tho.

So I actually got this this out and did some cutting on it.

I picked up a different set of axles and tires too.

I now have a ford 9 inch rear with 31 spline chromo Yukons and a full spool and 4.88s . The front is now a D44 hipinion with 4.88s and an ARB.

I also picked up a set of 95 percent 36x13 IROKS too.

So I got the rear end out and started throwing the 9 inch in. Decided to clamp it to a set of rear wagoneer springs. The front is going to get the matching front waggy leafs aswell. Shootin for a VERY LOW stance and a 98-100ish wheelbase.

A few pics to come.

So this is the stance with the waggy springs rigged in there. I took the nasty old cage out and decided to cut it up so it couldnt ever kill anyone. While I was cutiin, Justin grabbed the hoop and broke it off by hand. I put the torch away and we busted it up like an old pallet.

So I decided lastnight that I still wanted a fj45. So I went out and chopped off the back half.

Here is the donor roof side panels.
