Some musings I had today about this past weekends event:

How about a "thank you" type kind of poster, with pics, to hand out to organizations that donated prizes, and also to those that didn't to show what kind of opportunity they missed and perhaps get them thinking about next year?

Summers always a busy time of year, but upon reflection, perhaps Airshow weekend was not a good choice?

And whether or not timing was a contributing factor, we need to do more advertising. Where there any American visitors this year?

The venue was spectacular, lots of grass and shade to hide from the sun that didn't bake us like it has in past years, albeit that was all on pavement then.

What was the final count on 'cruisers anyways, about 50?

1) Hold the same location as next year. See if they will allow grass parking this time, now that they know we are ok. Will allow vistors to park on pavement and walk the rows of truck.

2) Pick a date for next year...by at least Jan of 2008.

3) Make cards, giving date and location. Pass out to EVERY cruiser owner you run into for the next 7-8 months.

4) Make posters and post up at places months and months in advance.

5) Give shops/business's that have supported Cruiser Days and the raffle a few hundred cards each, so they can pass out to every customer over the same 7-8 months.

Listed business's I saw in attendance this year were...in no order:

LCI
Cruiserland
EBI
Aqualu
Kodiak Custom
G&S Cruiserparts

Bill can add the list of vendors who supported the raffle but did not attend.

6) Contact all the Toyota dealers and work them to set up a booth, and also put a poster...months and months in advance.

7) Confirm with the food folks they are happy, and book them for next year.

8) Advertize, or post in the event section of MUD much sooner. CC members keep the thread active so other Mudders will see activity.

9) Continue the campout and runs.

10) Confirm the 4WDABC again...great to see them out there.

11) See if the TLCA would be interested in setting up a booth too...

Some thoughts for now.

Ohhh, and awesome job this year folks. Pat yourselves on the back.

Count the 4WDABC in! Also -- get me artwork/announcement in time for the March edition of the Backroader. Also -- please send me a writeup on this last event (with pictures) that I can publish in the November BR -- the July and November editions will be distributed to the public at the February Outdoor/Sportsman's show at Tradex -- gives CC and the event some more exposure to the public.
