Cruise will not resume

The cruise will work when it is first set, but when the brake is hit on my 2004 5vz-fe with auto d-cab and than I hit rezoom and it will not pick up. I then need to hit set and it will work. Is this a ez fix or should I live with it?

Is just when you brake or after you've slowed down considerably and then try to reset it? If it's the latter I believe this the way Toyota has it setup. My 2000 4Runner does this and so did my wife's 02 Rav4.
