Eurocruise 900SS kits are developed for the new generation of vehicles with electronic throttles/Drive-by-wire DBW (Electronic Accelerator Pedal) this unit is specifically built and programmed for each vehicle. It does have the electronic speedo but no drive by wire but looking at their website it seems they have other models also , send them an email and waiting to see what they have available.

There is an “adapter” which goes inline of the speedo cable (gearbox end) which was used by Toyota on early 90s celiacs (and a few other models). It works on the H55F found in the 40/60 series, I’m 90% sure would work for the 80 series as well (as I’ve used an 80 series speedo cable in a 60 series).

They generate a VSS signal and can be either adapted to an after market cruise control module or you could pull the entire system from the celica. Obviously would need to mount it in your engine bay but would be toyota quality, very cheap and easy to find parts in future. I have all the parts/suitable models listed somewhere... I’ll see what I can dig up

My 70 actually has a R151 and electronic speedo so I do have a VSS signal on it there.

Reviving this old thread.

Does anyone know if any narrow-nose 70 series from 1984 to 2006 came with cruise control? Doesn't have to be 1HZ or diesel. Just any model before they went to the plastic dash.
