My cruise control only works when it decides to (temperature seems to play a role). I know about the Australian Hall Effect speed sensor option (pretty sure the speed sensor is my issue), but I almost never use cruise control, so I am considering deleting it. I figure that deleting the cruise control will clean up the engine bay and give me more room for activities (you know, like aerobics or step class). I am relying on the collective knowledge of Mud to help me out. I am pretty sure that every 3FE equipped 80 sold in the US had cruise control, but I believe other markets had an option without it. I am looking for the parts to do this, but I can't find any mention of them in my rudimentary Googling. Even just a picture of the engine bay and how the throttle cable is routed and attached to the throttle body would be helpful. If the parts are NLA from Toyota, at least that will give me a direction so I can fabricate something of my own. Thank you in advance for anyone who is able to help!

Pretty rare, but early 91' poverty packs (US trucks) came without CC.

That’s the transmission kick down cable. Discontinued.
Has nothing to do with the CC associated with the accelerator pedal.

Hey mate, at least 90% of 80 series sold in Australia never had cruise control, so getting the throttle cable from over here would be an easy find! I’d be happy to chase one up at a wreckers and send it over to you if you wish?
That is literally the only thing different that you’ll need to delete your cruise control, unless you’re wanting to change out the headlight/wiper stalk combination switch as well, to get rid of the cruise stalk, then you’d want the column shroud to take away the hole as well (where cruise stalk is)
The combo switch and shroud you’d have to find locally or some other LHD region
Here is a quick pic of my engine bay covered with dirt after Moab. I have never used my CC on my 91, 10 yrs of owning it....with that said, it never bothered me and i never bothered to remove the unit completely.
