crossmember question

I am putting a 5.3L vortec with a 4l60e transmission and the stock transfer case. Was wondering since I will have a new crossmember for the new set up. Will the middle tube crossmember still need to be used? I've seen a couple cruisers without it. Also AA says that it will need to be relocated. Remember I'm a newbie.

I relocated mine. It's part of the cruiser you might as well keep it...

Thanks UNO_RACING for the pictures of your relocated crossmember it should come in handy. Since the farther back on the frame you go the wider it gets, did you have to add material to the crossmember to make it fit? Also did you have to position the hump differently to make everything fit.
