... If you're running icon RLCA’s those bushings wear too.
Willy & others,
Has anyone considered replacing the "Heim" rod end joints (e.g., Icon RTA, Icon UCA mounts) with something like the "Johnny joint" by Currie Enterprises? This article from Four Wheeler suggests "rod ends are for racing. Period." because they are metal-on-metal (stiff & harsh) and they wear out quickly. Johnny joint has a urethane or bushing so they should ride better, plus it is greaseable (and rebuildable?).

That design seems like it could make for an interesting sway bar end link for those with KDSS relo kits, if they change the threaded end to a second bushing

How many miles on the shocks?

Short answer: I don't know. I can't find my book that I wrote down the mileage and before and after measurements.

What I do Know. I put them on the truck Feb 20, 2016. Based on my yearly average I would guess somewhere in the Mid 30s. I have been chasing the noise since it got cold last year. November-ish 2017.

I have Stage 6 Icon and it creaks like a SOB from the rear. It only goes away when it rains. I love this suspension but the constant creaking is killing me. It happens when stopping, taking off and at slow speeds over bumps. No clunking sounds. I feel like it happens most under compression of the vehicles weight as to the reason it makes the biggest creaking sound when coming to a stop or taking off. Has anyone has this issue? The local shop thinks it needs to be re-torqued but haven’t set eyes and ears on it yet.
