Hi fellas,

2010 TLC Aus spec 200. Mint condition and everything working but Crawl Control. Have tried to activate it from Low Range multiple times but the light doesn't even come on. Dead as a dodo. Any ideas? Could it be a fuse?

Thank you in advance.

There's a couple pre-requisites.

You got the low range part. You also have to be in drive (or reverse), with foot on the brake, before hitting the Crawl Control button.

Do you have any warnings on the dash? Or codes on the ecu? If you panic stop does the abs activate?

So you’ve verified abs function? I don’t have access to the fsm just this second, it does have a procedure to verify switch function in it. I’ll take a look tomorrow and pass on the troubleshooting. You could start by checking any fuse for abs or brake.

ABS functioning as normal. Thank you for your time guys. I do appreciate it.

Yes mate, have done. System is dead. Very strange.

That is very strange. I seem to recall the display at least responding even if I didn't use crawl correctly. Is there a chance that the switch itself is bad? From a drink spill or something?

Can confirm. You get a nag on the center display if you don’t do something correctly.

The troubleshooting is significant. Brakes Skid Control 4wd ECU and more. You'll want to get the Brake section of the FSM for your year. Here's the section on testing light function; which requires Techstream and a cable for your OBD to connect it to.

3. CHECK OPERATION OF CRAWL INDICATOR LIGHT (ACTIVE TEST) (a) Turn the engine switch off. (b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. (c) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the Techstream on. (d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test. (e) Check the condition of the CRAWL indicator light by operating the Techstream. Combination Meter TESTER DISPLAY TEST PART CONTROL RANGE DIAGNOSTIC NOTE Indicat. Lamp CRAWL CRAWL Indicator Light Indicator light ON/OFF - OK: The indicator light turns on when operating the Techstream. NG REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

Please note Crawl only works in 4L.
