I went out to coyote today and the second water crossing is just three little dios with a stream through it and the hill climb is all smotjed out. It was so passable I saw a Forester at the end. When did this happen? Anybody know?

They do it every year. Takes a storm or two to get the upper trail a little chunked up to keep the minivan crew at bay. How was the bloom? Thinking of heading out Friday.

It was my first trip with the LC. Came back with a check engine light and a possible bad left caliper. Made it back safe and sound so it was a successful trip.

No I need to check it tomorrow. I'm going to use the paperclip method. I have a 94. It's my understanding that it is an OBD1. It is running fine. Weird.

It is - and your first investment should be this miracluous device that turns your OBD1 diagnostic port into a bluetooth to Android App reader. Thread here - I picked one up and used it on my last big road trip - pretty slick for us OBD1 folks. No more counting blinking lights - just read the code like the cool OBD2 kids. :)

I did not see who to order one from. How much. That would surely help as I'm not looking forward to counting lights.

They just started doing this maybe 2 years ago... I did notice they made it a lot easier about 5 years ago.... I was hoping it was just a 1 time thing.

Do you remember when the 3rd crossing was about 30-50 yards long too? They ruined that as well quite a while ago. It is really too bad. They also fixed many portions leading to and from Heart Attack Hill on Pinyon Mountain. The whole area is starting to get graded for the masses.

You are correct; I've got the same generation and the paperclip, lol. I very occasionally get a CEL on one of my rigs after fueling, and then it goes away. I chalk it up to an original charcoal evaporations canister, but I'm not sure. Interestingly, it's the rig that consistently gets the best mpg.

Yeah I was just going to say the same thing. I went out there about 6 years ago and then had just graded the hill up into the valley that day and it was mini van safe. I remember being depressed and just turning around. Then I went out there last season and was stuck behind a commercial van tour. It's off my list of places I go out there now sadly (unless its a weekday).
