Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in a couples' cruise weekend?

Me and the misses have done it, and it certainly is a great adventure. Harrison Resort the Friday evening with the hotsprings, and breaky-buffet at the resort Saturday a.m.(bring your stretchy pants). This would be followed by the trek up the Harrison Mills out to Mt. Currie, and Whistler that night. Sunday would be exploring the Black Tusk region... some nice little spots out there.

Just a thought... anyone interested?

It is nice to do the trip and come to a nice dry hostpitable place to sleep... also a romantic way to enjoy the best of both worlds ;)

sounds great. When?
Harrison resort is one of Ania's clients.

Last time Maciek and I were in the Black Task area it was all gated off...
4 years ago I made it to the microwave tower only to be send back by a park ranger...

Sounds like fun, Starvation lake is a great run for the trip back, in thru the highway, out thru Paradise Valley...

Sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately I need long term planning to arrange for the kids to be taken care of for a weekend.

I am in make a date and let us know. I warn you the misses knows how to winch pretty good lol.

Vanny, we sympathize, as we have kids that require planning (one week on, one week off).

How about November 7th, 8th, & 9th? Everyone meets at the Resort Friday evening for some soaking in the pools at Harrison, followed by a nice breakfast Saturday morning, and then we tackle the Harrison Mills on to Whistler. We could even stop by Slocquet on the way into Whistler... Chateau is at it's low season right now, and prices are pretty good!

Any issues, questions, or suggestions should be posted here :)

Cheers :D

Right now it sounds like a possibility. I need a few days to see if it will work. Any idea on the price range of the accomodations? Any idea what the driving conditions are like this time of year? Will we make it to Slocquet in one day? Never been that way.

Vanny,

I will get prices this week and let you know.

I drive slowly according to my misses ;) We made it from Harrison to Slocquet in about 6 hours... I like to stop and grab pictures.

I just picked up a Kenwood TH-6A for the road as there are a lot of Kewit trucks around the Slocquet area, and safety is important!

I also have my CB as well and a couple of hand held radios.

Driving conditions are pretty good, but there are a couple of spots where you need four wheel drive to get up the hills.

Depending on who is interested, I will try and see if there can be a group rate at the hotels...

Most importantly for supplies... water, hops, barley, and yeast ;)

SquamSquatch... thank you!

I will be working on obtaining a group rate if they allow for that. Harrison Resort, and either the Pan Pacific, or the Chateau for Whistler.

Cheers :)

Could you pm me the prices? I need to see how much it will eat into my lift that I am saving for. The 80 is in real need and I have to make decisions as to what to put under it. I am probably a no this time around, but am still curious about pricing for next time.
