I hope you are wrong... BFG web chat support person claimed July but maybe you are right as KM3's haven't been released yet. Either way my KO2s will need to be replaced before winter by my book. I don't like riding on semi bald tires.

I'm running 285 but discount said they were S. Going to check sidewall shortly.

Gaijin because of you I have been sticking to 42 psi but since summer has arrived the tire pressure increased by itself to 46. It starts around 41 and warms up. I read from other mudders that running 38 psi with icons felt better to them. I haven't tried this but I aim to wear my tires in next few months to try justify the KO3s.

Well ... If you are running the LT285/70R17 BFG KO2's, then my Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure is - and has always been - 40psi F/R. Hell, it's even in my sig.

This means that when the tires are cold (at ambient temp, not in the sun, and not driven on for at least 4 hours) they should be inflated to 40psi. Of course, after driving on them, they will naturally warm up resulting in an increase in pressure. This makes no difference. Tire pressures are set when the tires are cold. Period.

38psi is underinflated for your application.

KM3s are coming out soon. The KO3s (or whatever the next iteration is) have not been announced yet, to my knowledge.

Yeah, I don't know why people keep mentioning KO3s. Of course they are in development but they are no where near coming to market (at least compared the to pending KM3). We would have seen them on a vehicle by now. First public review and use of a KM3 in the wild was last Oct/Nov, as far as I know. Nada for a KO3; BFG typically teases their tires a solid 6 to 10 months in advance of their actual release.
