I bought a pair of these 48" shop lights to light up my garage since it was so dim in there i could not see what the hell i was doing. The price is right at 34 bucks each, and removed the over head light bulb fixture and replaced it with an outlet so they run off the light switch in the garage. They plug in, however I'm sure you can hack then plug off and hard wire them. The downside is that they do not have an on off switch. Here's a link to them on Amazon, they are more expensive there http://www.amazon.com/Feit-Electric-Utility-Shop-Light/dp/B00LFAY5SM?tag=ihco-20

2 of these mounted to the ceiling over the hoods of each vehicle light up my 2 car garage really well, and are just about perfect since that's where 95% of the work gets done.

Supposedly they also sell something like this at Sam's, however i cannot confirm nor deny that.

There's a guy on pirate who lit a pole barn with them with good results. There's a thread on them in the shop forum, that's how I found out about them.

Next challenge, how to fix my super long grass, any ideas?

I don't know why that works, but I hear it does.

Burnouts in the yard, i like it!!

I bought the treadplate looking ones from Menards (yea I hear Tony and Joe groaning), have them on sale sometimes for $10 after instore rebate. Regular lights, cold start, and 5' plug. 3 lights across, every 12 feet, 12 feet up in the air, lights up a 36x48 like a champ. It does help that the insulation is foil backed so alot of reflection coming off the walls and ceiling.
