Correct yazaki tape for tape oem

This gets to the level of absurd puritanism. Are they going to import special Toyota distilled water for the cooling system? Special Japanese R-134 for the AC? Japanese air for the tires? I'm all for OEM when it matters (hoses and belts) but tape? There's not going to be a Pebble Beach with Velocity channel show of boater hatted ment with clipboards going over the wire harness of a 25 year old truck and noting "Ah, obvious change from the 3M to Yazaki here around the #6 cylinder. Dock three points!"

So...

1. We are making fun of someone that is clearly a non-English as first language speaker - but I doubt many of us could do as well in (his?) language, whatever that is.

2. It is pretty entertaining to try to decode the messages.

3. (He?) seems to be pretty knowledgeable in things tape and things Toyota.

4. jay said: "an(d) is the matching correct color."... would that be "black"?

Carry on @jay!

Mark
Gray an black

Jay has posted some pretty obscure Toyota related parts and I find it really cool. I hope he continues. He even necro-bumped a 11year old thread with a clamp a member was searching for that even Cdan said was not available in 2005.

So speaking of correct colors, @jay , what color is that Aisin coolant? Green?

Act002 is part number on website

That is some good info on the coolant. There was a discussion recently about the dealer price going way too high. I think @scottryana was one of those that said he was going to switch to green as a result.

The element on aftermarket ones brake down clog up cause restiance. the oem or npn japan would be a better choice far as service life an reliability.

Just teasing you about the tape pics:)

I am right there with ya' buddy when it comes to that filter. I did a little research and found that what you are saying is common. That Toyota fuel filter is going in and that's final;)

Where can I get the Silk Juice? I am thinking I might exchange the fluid in my truck and I like the way this stuff sounds. What are we looking at for price per gallon?

Also interested, Moby needs a fluid change after the beating it took on last months trip !

Also, its funny people make fun of the tape thing, but I bet there's been a dozen people order it from their local dealer after reading this !

Its pricey more then dealer I believe . I used it in some high mileage lexus tranny with slight slip this helped a lot. Napa has it or can locate it but better off on internet check the Nippon oil website too for info

Hey! Keep it safe on the power steering. I would use regular fluid NOT the sythetic. like vavoline. It should be alrite.

This may seem like one of those "Sh*t, these guys are O/CD!" -type threads now, but the day you can't buy a engine harness complete (or some other one), these will be the kinds of threads guys trying to restore 80's will see as pure gold!

They'll be pulling hard to get maximum love because someone documented this stuff:smokin:

Son of a bitch....

I was the project manager that got that bottle created....how did Nippon Oil get rights to that.

Engine Oils

That bottle was likely bottled in Alabama. I know where their plant is.
