Coolant Smoking

I replaced the water hose,
Part No.: 87245-35A10
HOSE, WATER
The boot that the metal barbs go into at the firewall is leaking and losing fluid. My temp gauge is all the way up and barely will cool down, if at all. Is this heater core? I’m going to take it into town to the mechanic, but would like to be able to give him an idea.

I will pop my hood and inspect soon but post picture if you can......and be sure to stop running your engine if low on coolant and/or your temp gauge is all the way up....By the time your dash board temp gauge is showing high temps means you really are pushing your luck....

Did you use OEM hose clamps?
Are you sure you have the correct hose?
