coolant puke.....alt belt too tight???

Is there a way to set the altnator belt? Thought I could just make it on the support but than the Toyota alt came with the eyehole straight up instead of cocked to the right like my old one. I took the cruiser out 4 blocks and when I returned coolant dripping and smoking. Coolant on top of the radiator too. Do I have the belt too tight, too loose?

Too loose, water pump not spinning. Didn't yer temp guage register?

I'll tighten her up. You know I was so jacked about driving the cruiser again did not even pay attention to the temp gauge.
