Hi,i would like to do a coolant change on my landcruiser 7,the problem is,i had a compete engine recondition whit new pistons, crankshaft, the works. After reinstalling the engine i think they just filled the cooling system and because the engine had run whit broken head gasket i think they had to flush the system before refilling and now the coolant has a dark color. can anyone tell me how to flush and refill, thanks

What colour is dark?

Its quite simple.Locate the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator and the drain on the engine.
The engine drain is just above the oil pan on the RH side, its a brass stud.

Drain contents refit drain plugs and refill with clean water, start engine and run to operating temperature.
Repeat this a couple of times, its important to get all the old coolant out of the engine.

Then drain as much of the water out as possible ,put the drain plugs back in and refilll with Toyota red coolant.
If you use distilled water on the final refill ,the coolant will last twice as long as fresh water
When you cant get any more in ,start the engine and when the coolant level drops ,fill to normal height.

Recheck daily for few days until the system finds its own level.

thanks man, there is like black seditive flooting on top,the rest is grey clear, should i put an cooling system cleaner in the water for flushing or is this not recomended

Oil??

Probably wont hurt, but what does work is if you can find a way of getting a good strong flow of water in the engine block and flush out any sediment.

If you can get this coolant system clean and building pressure,it will last a long time.
I would fit a new radiator cap if you havent already done so.

it's not oil , it's sediment , i think it comes from the tubes or something because the engine block was steam cleaned and the head to so i am gonna change the hoses to and the radiator cap ,maybe if connect a garden hose to the radiator an constant flushing it trough while engine running would that work

To flush sediment out of the block, you really need a strong flow of water directly into the engine block.
With water coming in from the radiator and the engine running it would be just like normal
