Guys,

I would like to invite you all over for a cookout at my home this Thursday evening the 10th. The agenda includes discussing an idea that we have been kicking around about volunteering as a club publicly. Specifically, we have talked about adopting an area of Jackson and keeping it maintained. "Where" is the question.

So on Thursday evening around 6 I invite you all out for dinner, drinks, some serious talk and of course, a bunch of tire kicking. Maybe the new forty will make it???

Where: Ben's place aka Sixty Heaven, 4005 Roxbury Rd. off Meadowbrook. Directions to follow.

When: Thursday, 6:00 p.m. until. (Jeff and Greg must leave by 9:00)

Why: Have dinner and discuss club public service and awareness

Bring YOB, if you plan on staying past 9:00. Feel free to bring kids and spouses, too. I will watch my mouth, I promise.

Why do I have to leave by 9:00?? Have anything to do with the massive consumption of beer? Bunch of damn lightweights!

How about everything along the Pearl from the lowhead dam to I-20 on the belhaven side? I think it's all public land.

I plan on being there with boys and dog. Maybe a brown landcruiser? so close, so close.

Should I bring any other victuals?

Bring boys, bring dog. We are going to visit the idea of adopting that very property, but we must be careful in how we approach it. Being the guardian is one thing and would be nice, but being given a brand new fence down there under the bridge with just enough width for a person and a garbage can would suck. I don't think we want to be seen as a 4wd "tear up the woods while spotlighting" club, but more of a respectable, tread lightly, at least when sober, club. Plenty of room for discussion on Thursday! Barry, maybe we can drag your truck over with a towrope.

Alright, quick direcciones:

Take Meadowbrook Road off of 55 and head East. Your first right over the 55 bridge is Roxbury. Take Roxbury- I am 4005 Roxbury. There will be a sweet, blinged out FJ60 in the driveway. You can't miss it.

I am going to provide burgers, dogs and potted meat (and a small Keg of Beck's). Feel free to bring other items to grill or drink.
 
Yes, Greg, even you can bring items to grill and drink. While you are at it, bring me something, too. Lobster, shrimp, whatever. Easy to please.
 
Well Greg, you did it. Another 6 pack of bottles into the woods!!! Your gonna learn! I was doing good but not now. This is a serious blow to my recovery.

All right- I picked up some burgers, beer and sausage last night at 3rd World, I mean Kroger. If you guys want to grill something else, bring it on. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate!

I look forward to seeing you guys.
 
Sure, we will grill on my covered patio. Plenty of room! I figured we'd meet inside anyway, due to the heat.

Well, Greg and I stayed a little later than 9:00. J.O., I drank 2 beers for you. Good times! Thanks for having the crew over!
