So would that be like summer of 2010?
That sounds like it would be nice. I have always wanted to do something like that. Eddi will be 6 then. I think that would be the perfect age.

Thats the date I am thinking- It should give us plenty or planning time.

thanks for ringing me and yes I am in for the run. Jumping up and down there is a friend of mind from mud (trapper 50 cal) that I want to meet and check out Ingrid his 60. I have pM him and he may be lurking on this site too. Really sounds good just need to know the definate date's prior to the start of the year that the trip will occur. Have to schedule leave the year in advance. Will be a good trip to shake out all the little bugs, that BT-60 has before heading off to alaska in her!:bounce::bounce::cheers:

I am taking a trip w/one kid (Claire) next summer. Doing a mid June run to the edge of California. See all the sites in between and hoping to do this to coincide with Rubithon 09. Grand Canyon, Hoover, Moab, Yellowstone. etc. 7 Months away, plenty of time to prepare for the "Divide"?

I might be interested. I'm hoping to retire in 2010 to move to Europe for a while but might be able to get in one last blast before we leave.
That's assuming the auto industry is still alive by then, otherwise I might could go sooner.

Lets set up a planning meeting here in the next month or so to get some direction.

I would probably wait till January as most peoples schedules are really busy towards the end of the year. I will not be able to make the Dec 6 meeting as I have to go to Memphis for a wedding and a funeral(yea i know, odd pair). Maybe the january meeting we can discuss this, or if you want to meet for a beer sometime, we might be able to get some people together.

Beer Stop

Trapper 50 cal sent me a PM that he is looking forward to our trip, and that as he works for the brewery beer won't be a problem. Can we say Beer Run.:beer::beer:

Spoke to 1leglance today and he recommends sticking to one state. Colorado in our case. He said the Disabled Explorers felt like they could not relax and enjoy the scenery. Anyone have any objections to picking one state? He said to do the whole trail would take about a month. 8 days should be perfect for one state.

one state would be fine with me and I havent been to CO yet so sounds great!!
