I'm new to ih8mud but have been hanging out on teh Yahoo 3FE list for a few years.

I just bought a 97 and am planning to sell my 89. It is painful to think about selling such a great vehicle. However, the theft of my wife's daily driver 99 Avalon has caused the upheaval.

We just took the 80 out for a 25 mile dirt road drive through the local mountains and it performed great. It's definitely not the tank that the 62 is but for a family wagon, I'd go with an 80.

That said, we have taken our 89 FJ62 on many trips loaded to the max with canoe, bikes, etc. It has always been a great vehicle.

I want a cruiser.
It has to be localish or a smokin' deal and I will get a plane ticket.

I am starting to think have one vehicel (for myself) is the best way. I would love to have a trail only truck, but that is not going to happen anytime soon. PLus, I have a few motorcycles so duplicate vehicles is no likely.

I do have a friend with a on owner 97 LX450.

Either way I would have to sell or trade my runner first.

Thanks for all the input.
It has really helped
