Confirmation of Pinion Ring Size.

Can anybody confirm that FJ40s from 68 to 89 have a 8-7/8" ring gear diameter.

Rear ring and pinion size has never changed through 1998. I believe it is 9.5".

But once again, the size of the ring and pinion stayed the same until the 100 series.

You've got me there. No idea what the inner dia is.

Well here is the situation, I got this "Quick Lok" locker and it states it will fit Toyota LC's with 8-7/8" ring gears....I found only one website that said from 68 to 89 Land Cruisers have a 8-7/8" ring....but I'm not getting a warm fuzzy on this, so I would like confirmation from someone before I go into the dif and find out it won't work.

Can you take and post a pic Rui? Either the side gear or the driver gear (can't remember which one) should have a flat spot so that you can slip in the C-Clips. If it has this flat spot than it has a very good chance on being the right part.
