Colorado Land Cruisers June 21st meeting at Bear Creek Park

June 21st Colorado Land Cruisers Club meeting.

This months meeting will be at Bear Creek Park. The meeting starts at 7:00pm. We won't be reserving a pavilion since that cost money so we will looking for an available first come first serve pavilion.

I plan on being at Bear Creek Park at 5:30pm to find the best available pavilion and start working on grilling some food.

Does anyone know if the fire ban applies to charcoal grills in county parks?

I don't think so. Here's the page, and it list exceptions for fires/charcoal in "permanently constructed fire grates in developed campgrounds and picnic grounds". Could call the visitor center tomorrow also and see what they say.

I'm planning to make this one (famous last words!), but expect to come early and leave early.

I'm bringing my small gas grill and that's OK. I read over the fire ban and I believe the charcoal gills mounted at the park are legal.

Is it just me or does Stage I and Stage II look the same?

Nice relaxing meeting. Had some food talked about some stuff. Here are the highlights:

-Volunteer opportunity at Blanca Peak. I suggested Eric pickup the contact lead since I won't be here for that. Maybe Andy will chime in as well and between he and Eric we will have a committee to work on the project.

-Next trip is also scheduled for July 9th. Lime Creek ~ Benson Cabin.

- We need to firm up the Buena Vista Weekend so if you are planning on going please post up on that thread so we can get a better idea of how many to expect.
