Colorado Land Cruiser Monthly Meeting 3/10/26

Please come to the club meeting at Rudy's Bar-B-Q, 315, S 31st St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904
Show up at 6:00 to eat dinner and socialize. We meet in the North West corner of the patio.
Meeting starts at 7:00. Buying food or drink is not required, just show up to socialize if you wish.

  • Presented the meeting agenda.

  • Mud page is updated.
  • Contacted Scooter Powers from CO4WDA re: trail maintenance participation and volunteer opportunities. Filled out details on Saran Wrap.
  • Contacted Jake E. (USFS) to see if any other trails need to be adopted.
  • Buena Vista area trip thread created.

OLD BUSINESS

• Meeting location ideas? Mud thread posted by VP.
• Banner review. Held vote on overall design with artworks on VP’s strawman. Will move forward on finalizing and procuring.
  • Post meeting update: Due to the missing artwork, we decided to have Nomad return the existing banner and we will use it for the time being.
• Reviewed Cripple Creek trail ride. Excellent turnout with members and guests.

NEW BUSINESS

• March’s trip will be to Buena Vista area on the 21st. Please post if you are going. OHV sticker required if we go to Brown’s Canyon.
• April’s trip will be to Texas Creek. OHV sticker required.
• For anyone providing trip reports in a trip thread, please list the following in the trip invitation post. VP will use these figures for the end of year volunteer summary report. See the Feb. trip thread for example.

  • # of people
  • Cumulative hours door-to-door
• For the next few months, the trail runs will be decided at the meetings. There is an active thread for people to make recommendations for their preferred trail runs this year.
