Got the engine code for bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor. Ordered the Denso replacement. The new sensor only has a couple of holes in the sensor, the old sensor had holes all over it. Thought nothing of it. Installed a new sensor and cleared the code. Instantly when turning the ignition on, it throws the code again for the same sensor. The fuse is not blown. Turns out the 2005 lx470 had two different part numbers for the upstream sensor based on when it was built. Ordered the other sensor that looks identical to the old one that matches the part number now. hopefully, when I replace it again tomorrow this fixes things. If the new sensor still throws the code, then I have other issues to worry about. Either way, I thought this thread might help someone else down the road who might search for this code.
