clutch won't engage I think

So I bought a 88 mini with 350 sm465/205 Dana 44 up front and 14 bolt rear. So I go over to put my new tires on today put it Into reverse and clutch to the floor and won't go Into gear grinding bad so try first same thing .not sure what's going on with this any help would be great

Was the clutch working when you got the truck?

The obvious stuff for initial troubleshooting, see if there is fluid in the clutch master, make sure it is bled, adjusted, lines good, clutch slave good, etc...
