clutch question

I'm a newbie to cruisers and a newbie mechanics but am trying to learn about my cruiser. I noticed today when I left work that my clutch pedel comes just about all the way before it catches. It was never like that before. The clutch disk should not be worn out as it was looked at about 4000 miles ago when the engine was put in. Is there some way of adjusting this so that the clutch engages before the pedel gets all the way out?? Oh yeah its a 77 fj40 with 3b engine and h55 tcase.

I also noticed that it seems like the clutch is not engaging properly or maybe slips a little but not sure as its hard to tell if its the same as before

The adjustments dont usually change by themselves, and if the master cylinder had bad seals you would have to push a long way down to dis-engage. But there should be an adjustment at both ends, where the pedal connects the push-rod inside the cabin, and on the pushrod of the slave cylinder where it connects the arm on the side of the bellhousing. You might just want to check that its all moving allright and not getting caught up on anything b4 you go changing the adjustments.
