I picked up mY BJ44 this afternoon and drove it back. Wheee!

I had an issue with the clutch Master and needed some advice. Basically, when i picked up the truck, the car started right up. Once I tried to put it into reverse, it wouldn't go into any gear (it went throgh fine when the engine was stopped).

I ahd to PB Blast the hell out of the piston adjustment to get it to spin and actuate the clutch enough to get into gear...

Q1) IS my Master Cylinder toast?
Q2) Do I need to replace or adjust the slave? There was no leaks in the system...
Q3) It drives fine, but i'm not too keen on the clutch being adjusted all the way out... How safe is it as is?

Thanks!

First thing to do is get a workshop manual
Next thing is to bleed the system and see if it that fixes it
They dont always leak on the outside but they do leak past the rubber seals inside the master cyl and you lose pressure.

It could also need a new clutch but work through the cheap and easy stuff 1st.
