Is there any interest in having occasional off road-related workshops and/or demonstrations throughout the year? What I'm looking for are some ideas, e.g.,:
- safety/first aid
- vehicle recovery
- communication (Ham, GMRS, etc.)
- required equipment
- vehicle builds
- trail cooking

I know there is much more. Chime in if you want to contribute a topic that may be beneficial or of interest to you personally, a new club member, or the seasoned off-roader.
If there is a lot off interest we can take it a step further and find out who the subject matter experts are that want to participate. A SME can be anyone from our club or someone in the industry we find.

While I am game for helping out on a ham / GMRS radio presentation, I do not believe it practical to do a ham license training class. There are many free ways to do the minimal study necessary to pass the FCC Technician Class license test. One of those ways is a free one day class where you take your test at the end of the class and the guy who does it has about a 90% pass rate for those who take his class and study a little beforehand. In my opinion the best way to study for the test these days is to sign up for HamStudy.org system, it's free and if you take your actual test online the testing is done within the same environment you studied in... HamStudy.org: Cutting edge amateur radio study tools - https://hamstudy.org/

I think a better use of time in presenting a session on communications is to focus on the equipment, operation and installation topics such as radios, antennas, power, installation tips and techniques.

Another topic that comes to mind is 3D printing and how to use it to create solutions in your rigs.

This is exactly what I had in mind: "I think a better use of time in presenting a session on communications is to focus on the equipment, operation and installation topics such as radios, antennas, power, installation tips and techniques."

And maybe a demo on repeater usage in case of emergency or other need relative to run/event locations.

3D printing is a good topic.
