4WDABC 2022 AGM VotingHere are the results of your 2022 Board of Director elections!Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual General Meeting for 2022! Despite some technical difficulties, the meeting overall went smoothly, and attendance was around 70 participants from all over BC! We covered a lot of ground, and had a nice informal chat afterward, with almost 40 members sticking around for an extra hour and a half. We'd like to congratulate and welcome back our incumbent board members, winners by acclamation:
Thanks also to Mary Austin and Chris Bonnell, the runners-up for the position. And last, but certainly not least: our eternal thanks and admiration for the outgoing Membership Director, Tai van Patter, for her years of outstanding service to the position and to the growth of the 4WDABC. Introducing Pete GoudswaardYour new Membership DirectorPete comes from an extensive history of volunteering with the 4WDABC and other societies, as well as an IT background, and will bring a fresh new perspective to the job.Pete is just getting settled with all the back-end stuff and will soon be checking the mail for those missing their membership packages - if you signed up or renewed in January or earlier and never received yours, please email him at membership@4wdabc.ca. Keep in mind that the current process requires 6-8 weeks for delivery, so don't worry if you joined or renewed in February or March, yours may still be on the way. One of Pete's first goals will be to reduce that wait time. Related: As most of you know, our membership packages are now handled by a mailing house, and we've just been informed that they were short of dash plaques for the new member packages, so a few from December and January were held back, so that may be why a few of you are missing yours. Another of Pete's first planned tasks is updating the process and improving communication on these issues. |
