Well guys and gals, this Wednesday is the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. It is your last chance to pay your dues (if you want to vote). There will be votes to decide this year's excecutive members, pass bylaws, and decide what direction the club will take. If you're gonna make it to only one meeting this year, this is the one. Time and Location will be posted up shortly. See you on Wednesday!

Dang... I will be in Powell River on Wednesday. If I can meet one of you guys on Tuesday I can give you my dues.

Not to be a dick, but seems that according to this rule set, and from the last couple of posts, pretty much every member that doesn't live in victoria is getting the boot this week.

It does kindof seem like there are times when the name of this club needs to be reconsidered. ( especially if it ends up being a tlca chapter)

It really is a victoria club, most people consider nanaimo to be "south island" yet, when theres a wheeling trip in shawnigan, it gets labelled as " up island" .

To me, and most of the folks I know, up island is courtney/comox/campbell river.

The malahat is a s***ty bit of road, and nobody likes driving it if they don't have to, especially not on a weeknight, so it's just a fact of geography.

anyways, I've had a beer or two this evening , which makes me disgruntled on general principle. ( call this a disclaimer. :flipoff2:)

Busy that night - wife has got me going to some show. I have paid my dues, still looking for a VI Cruiser sticker. Is an alternative night possible?

( still think it should be victoria named, and not van island tho...:flipoff2:)

At any rate, I won't be there. I can mail a cheque or paypal someone if that works ?

Just because you haven't paid your dues donb't mean we don't love you.
as well if you want to vote you can e mail it. when and where will be posted on yahoo vi cruiser board.
 
I generally hate rules...

A club without members is no fun and a club without any rules is just a mob.

How do we keep active members and how do we attract new members that will participate and sustain the club?

Last February the draft bylaws were discussed and posted - these are our rules.
  • Dues cover September 1 - August 31.
  • Dues are payable by the September meeting.
  • Members that pay their dues by the October meeting are eligible to vote for executive at the AGM.
  • Members that haven't paid by the November meeting will be struck from the roster.

If anyone want's to pay by PayPal, you can PayPal steve.shulhan@shaw.ca and I'll forward the cash to the club. If that doesn't work, call me, we'll work something out.
 
oi....holy crap. thats tomorrow!:eek::doh: ill be there...dunno if ill be on time or not but ill be passing through that way at some point....by that time i probably will need a beer and a hot meal anyways! see everybody there
