Hi all,

Had my '74 fj45 running an F for about 2 days now, and when it's in a forward gear i makes a clicking sound at the same speed as the engine, regardless of 4wd or 2wd selection.

Any ideas on wheats wrong and what needs to be done?

Thanks in advance

Had a dropped horse shoe clip in the parking brake drum make noise. Drove me nuts trying to find it. Finally did when the parking brake became poor and I pulled it apart and found the clip banging around in there.

As asked can you tell if its form the engine or front axle. Have someone walk along the front while driving slow while in 2x4 and 4x4. Can be the inner axle(s), bad hub(s), and the brakes as stated. When I had a clicking sound in my front end it turned out to be the CV inner axles were bad. both. I was out in the desert and put it in 1st gear and got out and walked along side and could hear it plain as day.
Let us know.
