i dunno what is going on now i just partially solved the issue with the sluggish acceleration. now all the sudden when i go into 4wd it's like the truck only goes into 4L (i installed a 2"bl) so i figured if i lost the plastic casing around the gear shifter it would go from 2-4h-4l and it still wont . when it goes 4wd it's like click click and feels like the shifter is moving (both of them) it's a auto 89 with a a340 with g25/2

some info before it happened

it never did this when i had stock tires (235/75/15) still didn't go it when went to 31's then i installed the bl and it still didn't do it went to 33's (not true 33's) then all the sudden it wouldn't go into 4h it only goes straight 4l as stated before. cv's need new boots (plan on replacing that) tc fluid has been changed. and i read up on 4crawlers color code for df's i'll check that tomorrow.

yeah i figured that out last night while i had a buddy shift into 4wd it's just weird though. i've had that bl for more than 6mo now but still doesn't help with the click click noise like binding

where is the clicking coming from, the transfer or the front end?

since im hard of hearing and all i figured if i only hear it in 4wd it's gotta be coming from the front end. but when i hold the shifter to change gears i can feel it vibrate.

well you mentioned your cv joints earlier, could be them?

it's cold as s*** outside , but from the way the boots look it wouldn't hurt to replace them and pack'em with greese.

well if they are what is clicking, you might just want to replace them.

already in the process, noticed earlier when i stoped near a truck turn around entrance put my finger into the cv outter part that i could feel crap all inside of it :( it was more like a mixture of greese and dirt so i'll be replacing them just as soon as i get the cash but thanx for the help.
