Location
the valley, yeah that one
So after I flaked on going to Coyote Cyn. with Cmjrfan8 in order to go wheeling with my buddy up near us in LA, he flaked on me :mad::mad:

So I went out anyways :D

I hadn't been on this trail yet and I had a pretty good time. Mostly it's just a fire road, but there are lots of bypass routes with some decent to really good pucker factor (at least for me).

anyways on to the photos!

Nice! At least you were able to get out, that's what counts.

Cool pics

Looks more fun than the roads I was on over by Liebre Mountain...got all excited because a guy said I would need 4x4 for a section. I think he was really talking about clearance unfortunately, because there was no fun stuff to be had :crybaby:

was that today? Too bad you didn't have more fun...

That is cool that you still got out and had some fun.

Last Saturday. I was out hiking and wildlife viewing/tracking so 4x4'ing wasn't top priority... though it would have been fun to add it in the mix!

I dont know where you're at in the valley, but I'm on the other side of the hill off the 405. If you ever want an extra body for a run, give me a buzz. I'm still all stock at this point, but i'm always up for getting outdoors.

Thats part of my daily commute. Some fridays I like to pull off and ride that trail. I just got my lift but still need some brackets and then I can run it for real instead of bypassing everything!!!

Well it sounds like we should get a group together to go do this trail!

Who's free when?

what's it like with trails closures in the Big Bear area? (fire, winter, snow etc)

Out on the east end of the valley (big bear valley) there were some very muddy spots over Christmas. Usually takes a little while to dry out, but I cant say for the rest of the valley

Let's go! I'm free most the rest of this month, at this point.
I am thinking about heading down to Quartzite for a look-see, never been and heard it's fun for a couple days.

I need to get out soon!

I'll check with the CFO/Warden and see if I can get out the 19th or the 26th. I'll start a new thread for it when I'm clear for take-off.
