Hello everyone
I broke a rear side window on my 1986 1st gen 4runner at coal miner this year.
I'm thinking about making a temporary or even permanent window to fill the hole.
Has anyone made a clear vinyl window that fits in the stock hole of the rear side windows before? It looks like I can add grommets to the vinyl and use the stock bolts in the window frame. To match the top curve at the roofline I can sew in a bar or small hoop.
I'd rather have something more secure until I can source a window, so I might go with plexi or lexan too.
Anyone done something similar or have any suggestions?
I'd like to eventually get a soft top, but can't justify the coin just yet.
