LED Mirror Covers for the 80

I bought two pairs of these LED mirror covers for the 80 series cruiser a couple of years ago, with intention to use one of them on my 80.

These were specially order-made for the most popular Japanese LC80 site. LANDCRUISER80 FREAKS Official Site!!! (Land Cruiser 80 Freaks site). They are ready to be painted to match your vehicle color.

ANYWAY, I'm looking for a quick sale with them at $55/O.B.O., plus shipping ($15 for slow air), for a pair.

Each pair comes with the Japanese instruction (:hillbilly:) as well as the site's sticker.

Let me know if anyone's interested, and don't be afraid to low-ball me! ;)

Mot :)

The wires are designed to go through the cover to the backside (through a provided hole), so you would not see them when you get them installed.

And finally...

You can see the only blemish on this particular pair is one cover has a small section with paint/primer chipping. It sholdn't be a problem since you would have to paint them to match the color of the vehicle, but wanted to point it out.

Let me know if anyone wants to take them off of my hands!

As always, thanks for looking!

DIBS.....

I would love to get my hands on those.... please let me call DIBS....

I can get you the money via PayPal ASAP. Just need your info.

How many  is the wiring for this project?

PM SENT

ChefFJ,

Thanks for your interest! :crybaby:

I will PM you ina jiffy and get you my PayPal info.

And as for the wiring, I believe you just have to splice it into your turn signal wire(s) and you should be set.

From what I could see on the front of the installation guide there's polarity with LED so if it doesn't work after splicing, then you should reverse and that should take care of it.

Talk to you in a bit, and thanks again!!

Great news.....

I knew they may be a little bling for most I really like the idea of some form of turn indicator on the front end of the truck. I was planning on drilling and putting a set of your clear side indicators up front but this will solve alot of that hassle. Besides, my door panels are off and will be for a while, as I build a custom set of panels to hold my Boston Acoustics 3-way components.

Thanks again and I look forward to posting some pics of them installed.

Mot,

I am intersted in the turn signal and I would not lowball you :) I am wondering on how these work, do I need to replace the guts with my stock mirrors? let me know and I'll PP you!

I guess you're still interested in taking them... is that what you're saying above? ;)

John,

You just put it over your existing mirror/housing (w/o removing anything) and then running the wires through.

SORRY, I wish I could answer more definitively, but I haven't installed them myself and yesterday was the first time I had ever opened the box!!

If you need me to, I would open the sack that the instruction and the sticker are in (stapled) and skim through them!

BTW, if you and ChefFJ take them, then that's all I have.

I've received a PM from another Mudder and as I've told him, if you cannot obtain them in the US I would be happy to get something similar to them here. But I'm afraid that the cost would be significantly more as these ones here are going for less than 1/2 of what I have paid for them (I'm just trying to clear them out).

ANYWAY, I'll let you know if these are both spoken for in the next day or two!

THANKS AGAIN!!

Mot :crybaby:

I'll take them if they fit completely over the old mirror housing. My mirror housing is cracked from hitting the garage door (not by me :) ) This would be a good alternative than replaceing the entire mirror.

Can you sample fit the cover over the existing mirror housing and take a picture? Thanks.

I was about to say the same thing when I started reading your post. ;)

I'm a pessimist by nature, so don't hold your breath!! :D

I'll try to git'r done sometime tomorrow!

THANKS!!

OK...

OK dudes,

I just snapped some pics of the mirror cover (Don't pay attention to how filthy my 80 looks! :hillbilly:)

W/O seeing other covers like these I don't know if these fit any better/worse than them.

That said, I'm pretty happy with the way they did fit and look.

I hope you know me well enough to actually believe me when I say this, but I would not hesitate to install them on my rig one bit. (Don't ask me why though! :hillbilly:)

The bottom piece intentionally shows the little chrome piece that shows through. It is "in there", so you won't be able to notice/see it. Also, you would be painting these anyway, so even if there was a small gap you would not notice at all. I feel bad in telling you this because there really isn't anything to be alarmed about with this, but I did not want you to think "Gosh, it looks like chit and Mot isn't disclosing it!!"

Sorry for the out-of-focus crappy shot.

The overhangs you see at the top and the bottom are not bad at all.
Again, I wanted to exaggerate what thy looked like. If you see from directly top and bottom, they look pretty dang good! (I looked at the instlation instruction last night and they recommend you pain little bit on the inside all the way around just because they can be seen like they illustrate in these pics).

ANYWAY, so you now know what it looks like on the truck. (Never mind the faded hood and the rusted wiper arms. :flipoff2:)

Let me know what you think and also those of you who have expressed interest would still want them or not.

Thanks!! ;)

Now I need to work on the rear ladder inventory!

BTW, they suggest you splice the wires into the side marker lense wires (JDM parts), pictured at the bottom.

So you can either get them from me while you're at it (:hillbilly:) or extend wires to the front blinker wires. ;)

SOLD, to the gentleman from Texas! :hillbilly:

BTW, should I send it slow air or you want it a bit quicker with regular air ($9 more) or express air (insured and trackable) for ($17 more than slow air).

I'll also need your telephone number (AGAIN! :hillbilly:) if you opt for express air!

Thanks!! (I owe you an e-mail, don't I?)

ChefFJ,

You can let me know if you're still interested in them via PM or posting here. If you're not interested/able, then I'll just give the next guy the opportunity. ;)

THANKS AGAIN!!

Mot :)
