Time to start working on the 1956 CJ5 we keep at the family mountain property for occasional use. New ground for me, as I've been buried in a FJ55 Land Cruiser rebuild.
I'd appreciate some suggestions for suitable low cost wheels that would enable the use of a larger tire, such as 30x9.50x15 without looking like ten pounds of tire on a 5 pound wheel. I'd also entertain a move up to 16" wheels/tires. I have access to a yard full of old Fords, GM and other trucks so some other OEM type but wider wheel with appropriate offset would be the preferred low cost solution. The CJ is bone stock and there are no plans to upgrade suspension, etc.
Thoughts???

Old Fords are you friends when it come to wheels. The bolt patter is 5 on 5.5 . If you were close I would give you a free set of rims.
