Chipmunk FSR undergoing roadside Alder clearing

Was up at Chipmunk today with friends from Florida (retired), who tow their jeep behind their motorhome.

Long delays while they are falling roadside alder, so we headed back down after going up about 1/2 way.

Bummer, but the good news is the cross-ditches are getting an 'enhancement'!

My friend Leonard had a great time. Remember, the highest mountain in Florida is a highway overpass!

Yes, and if you're into firewood, this is the stretch of road that is open to firewood cutting in the Coastal Forest District (with online free permit of course).
