i actually didn't realize there was a Chicago section until an hour ago. moved here a couple of years ago and have had nothing other than regular maintenance needed for my 60. however, i think the motor may have given up a few days ago. wondering if anyone knows of a shop in the area (close-ish to downtown) that could swap a motor or something of that magnitude?

any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

Eh, it may not be. Could be a number of things, but it seems to be running very, very rough. Could just need a carb rebuild or something, or a really good tune up, but it certainly has the sound of an engine running on less than 6 six cylinders. Looks like there a bit of oil leaking around the cylinder head all of a sudden too. I'll poke around on it more, but since moving to Chicago I'm in an apt so there's no real options for doing anything major. So seems like a good shop may be the best bet. Had a great one in STL, but I know none here. And if my experience before is correct, just taking it to any old shop is just going to be frustrating. If you know any, be very helpful.

Motor definatly sounds like its need of replacement, or atleast some serious work to the motor!...

Ill give you $100 for it.

Since you have no use for a 60, you must just be being a penis.

True, but if I can get it for $100, put new plugs in it, maybe work the carb a bit...and then I can sell it. But dont tell the OP.
