I have any 83 mini. I've been told you can do a lift using 89-98 Chevy springs in the rear and moving the stock rear springs to the front for about a 2-3" lift. Has anyone done this and how much work was it? Plus, how did it perform.? Thanks.

Honestly do your research. It's called a 63" chevy spring swap

I made my own hangers and shackles. I had to use a two inch block to get it level with the front (wasn't a fan of blocks). I used an add a leaf and it flexes a lot better than my buddies all pro springs. It wasn't that hard to do. I did the swap in a day.

Another thing to remember, using rear springs up front moves the axle forward 2", so you'll need cross-over steering, and they're longer so you'll need some banana shackles.

For the rear you'll need new forward mounts and new shackle hanger fro the rear.

BudBuilt makes some great banana shackles and Chevy mounts, or DIY. Sky's Chevy mounts suck.

The AP springs must really suck, AAL's almost always result in a stiffer, harsher ride.

I took out the overload and replaced it with the add a leaf. APs springs are very good imo. His 4runner flexes very nice, but not as good as mine :) I have allpro springs in the front and I can't complain about them.
