Welcome.

1- There are many people that have different engines, transmissions and transfer cases swapped into their Land Cruiser.

Hit the tech links at the top of the site, and read away...

2- No.

However, depending on your skill level, you may be able to use the Land Cruiser center section modified to use mini truck outer axle housings, and axle shafts....This was wrote up in the Toytoa Trails a few months back...

Good luck!

no the 3rd will not fit the mini. and stay land cruiser they are stronger. you can use the birf's and hubs from the mini to do an uprade, like others have said check tech and do a search on axles etc.

and welcome to mud :flipoff2: (offical welcome)

thanks for the info. AsS for staying crusier or mini truck, I do not want to run 350 with stock trany (3 speed) do to strenght of trany, and price of adapters. So if i run chevy drive train I will need a centerd rear diff.
?go with mini truck or chevy 12 bolt.
? length of each compared to front.

Look in tech section as there are several people who have made a hybrid axle using Cruiser center and mini outers, so you get the strength of the cruiser 3rd member and a centered rear diff not to mention eliminating the c-clip axles of the cruiser. Good luck, and do a search.

Avoid the 12 bolt.
