So I'm thinking about getting the cherry bomb glass pack muffler, but I was wondering about its legality in this glorious state of CA, can any one elaborate about this? also prices and installation costs if possible, I looked online and according to the cherry bomb website meineke is an authorized dealer (i suppose i could of call them too)
I know I could have done a search, but where is the fun on that?

You can run whatever you want until you smog your junk. So if you're willing to pull it off and put the stock cat back on then you should be fine.. unless a cop looks under your rig cause it's super loud. Then he might be able to write a fix it ticket.

As far as "quote legal"... if it's the only thing you're using (no cat).. then your in trouble..but i think as long as you have a cat.. then your fine. Have a few buddies that run them, but they have older pre-smog era trucks.

Cherry bombs are dirt cheap.

yes. dirt cheap. when i called around asking about the cherry bomb none of them recommend it at all.

i would recommend the IPOR muffler. HIGH clearance, sleek, and pretty distinctive. been running it a few months and pretty happy with it.

You might check out Dualtone muffler and brake in PB. I just had them put on a glass pack and change out my muffler and i saw some Cherry Bomb stuff in their shop. The installers name is Rick and i am very happy with the work he did.
