I was pushing my '91 TLC pretty hard yesterday. Lots of long hot miles in the mountains. At the very end of the day the CEL light came on. I was near home so after checking all the fluid levels I drove the rest of the way with no probs. Truck seemed just fine.
After the engine had a chance to cool down I drove it a short distance and the CEL immediately reset (turned off). I just pulled the code. Code 21 (Heated oxygen sensor (H02S) 1 circuit).
Since the CEL reset, I am planning on taking (at least) one more trip (150 miles) before I have the O2 sensor looked at. Am I being stupid?
