how much water are you trying to move??? a good $10 windshield washer pump from your local APS will work fine ifyou arent trying to move gallons at a time

just big enough to run a hose for washing dishes and having a spit bath. Never thought of a windshield pump. Thanks!

Go down to the biggest RV supplier in your area and look at manually operated fresh water pumps. There are some very simple lever and foot operated ones that work dandy and don't use any electricity. West Marine sells similar items but they are 3 times as much $$$.
