A bodyshop recomended this product. "Peel and Seal" from Lowes...in the roofing dept. It is tar wirh the aluminum backing. It IS thinner than other more expensive products. I used 3 rolls to do all four lv doors, rear tailgate and back luggage area walls. Each roll was only $13 and it molds very well to metal. I will use something thicker for the floor.

It's the first I've seen that stuff (looks nice). But the rolled roofing Ice gaurd is like a peel and stick roofing material. I've used that under floor mats and in doors for deading noise.

This s the asphalt/aluminum backed roofing material. The guy that owns the local bodyshop is a hotrod restorer and recomended it to me saying it is actualy very close to what the older cars came installed with. The Dynomat(sp) product is definitely thicker. I have installed a thicker rubberized product that came in squares and was very expensive. I can say, there is a difference in thickness, but not worth the difference in price. On the floors, I will put this roll in "Peel and Seal" and then put the carpet and pad in. I would suggest checking it out for yourself.

Sold the rig last year...now listed at a much larger number.
It held up just fine and did a great job of sound deadening of the doors and floor.
