Cheap dual battery setup. Is what I'm working on safe?

Given the OP is hitting the road today, your discussion of starting suggests another idea for quick and dirty, but safe. Pickup one of those all in one jump-start units. Not sure of how effective they are in powering a fridge overnight, although some of the higher capacity units may be. If you just drained your batteries enough with a fridge overnight, though, I'd expect the moderate to larger capacity ones would get you started in the morning.

Then again, I was in Radio Shack recently and they had what looked to be one end of a set of modest size jumper cables at the checkout. Turns out it was an adapter that plugs into one of those small "brick" USB rechargeable power stations. Not sure if it could roll a Land Cruiser starter, but it might.
