Well I've been using these crappy canadian tire batteries that have a 3 year direct replacement warranty. Today the one thats been in my last 4 vehicles wouldn't work in the cold so I went in to replace it.

Turns out I'm just over the 3 year replacement period so I am into the pro rated time.

I got my new battery for 30 bucks... with another free 3 years replacement for 30 bucks... seeing as how I've gotten 4 other batteries on the free warranty with my nice slow voltage leak that results in frozen batteries. I am rather pleased I get to keep getting free batteries for another 3 years for 30 dollars.

Apparently I can keep this cycle going forever! :hillbilly:

Great deal
if you excluded your labor removing/replacing batteries, screwing around with Crappy Tire warranties/receipts and the lack of 100% dependability from a second rate battery - LOL :grinpimp:

Yep... but you missed that I'm too lazy to fix my voltage drain... hence it doesn't mater what battery it is... when it gets drained to 9 volts at -27 degrees its gonna be frozen and suck after that... so until I get off my lazy ass and fix things I'll stick with the batteries where I don't get hassled for the warranty

I agree they're not the best batteries however in my other truck it lasted 3 years fine and had no issue with playing music for 5hrs+ then starting the truck.

Also I refrain from paying myself to do labour ... and nobody else would pay me to do anything during that time. Its a funny argument I always hear about how time is worth money ect. To some extent it is however unless I'm taking time off work I'm not losing money. Even if it works out that I saved $5 per hr. I'm not going to take a 2nd job anyway :)

Talk about a second rate battery, purchased two for my BJ60 almost 5 years ago, swapped them into my BJ42 and they are exellent units. Walmart everstart marine batteries.

Held up better than my napa battery.

Thought I might bet 3 years, every so often I throw my trickle charger on them over night to give them a deep charge..

Speaking of battery chargers.... I want a couple C-tec's.

-One for the dual batts. in the cruiser (12v)
-One for the lawn mover (12v)
-The four ringed Kraut-er could use one too but it doesn't really deserve anything.

Anyone know where the best prices are?

Best little charger I ever purchased;).......

Pull the cruiser batteries and make a few jumpers and leave them it charging...

Got six years out of my motomasters with infrequent use, leave them for a month in the winter, and then fire it right up at sub-freezing (course, not in the 6th year, then they were toast)

wait till you have a house to fix, kids to take care of, a lawn to cut and a wife with a endless 'honey do' list and then your Cruiser time will become scarce-- hence 'valuable'.:hillbilly:

I have used CT batteries for years. The last one I got for my 45 came (for an extra $30) with a 9 year full replacement and up to 27 years pro-rated. I go through a battery every several years. It seems that the winch is hard on them.

Two kids, two dogs, two cats, one wife:princess: and two houses, still picking the cheaper batteries until the kids move out:beer::flipoff2:..

You clearly underestimate my cheapness... :flipoff2:

I see your cheapness and raise you....

Why pay a dollar for a shower in the marina when you can use that same dollar for 5 years....:hillbilly:

lol @ seapotato's post. Too funny.
I was buying from Lordco until I started going through Ebay, then I found this place http://www.ediscountbatteries.com and I have been getting all of my batteries through them over the last 3 months.
Pretty good discounts there. Although you can find some pretty crazy deals going down on Ebay still if you happen to get lucky.
After Christmas I just can't afford to lose so I gotta go where the deals are good.
