Charging System Light on dash Problems

Hi there,

I have the little red charging system battery light on the dash on. I have replaced the battery. Cleaned Terminals. Check the fuses except for the 180 amp fuse as I cannot figure out how to access it seems to be blocked by this black clear cover. I have checked the voltage with a voltmeter is 12.7 when the car is off. and jumps up to 13.7 when the car is on. So I am not sure if its the alternator or not.

Any other suggestions?

Get the alternator tested. Mine was very erratic before it finally died. I had it tested multiple times and one time it would be fine and others it would be outputting < 12v
